Cultivating and Letting Go
Prepare for the wonders of Easter with these Lenten practices
Worship & Sermons
Each Sunday, we’ll consider what the key Christian qualities are that we need to cultivate, and their counterparts of which we need to let go. This will include relevant preaching, scripture, inspiring music, and prayer created to open us up to God.
If you aren’t able to join us for worship, want to catch up on the conversation after a busy week, or listen again, you can find each week’s sermon here.
Weekly communion, Sundays @ 1:30 pm from Feb. 21st - Mar. 7th.
Cultivating Relationships by Serving
During this Lenten season, we will be sharing in a churchwide mission to support and engage with pregnant women who need assistance through Open Arms Pregnancy Center.
Each week, you are invited to bring the item listed below to our 1:30 pm communion service or another time during the week. You can also donate monetarily by collecting change in a baby bottle (available from the office).
Feb. 21st - Diapers (baby sizes 3,4,5)
Feb. 28th - Desitin/Diaper Rash Ointment
Mar. 7th - Baby Shampoo / Baby Lotion
Mar. 14th - Baby Wipes
Mar. 21st - Formula / Dye & Scent Free Laundry Detergent
Mar. 28th - Any of the above items or a Pack & Play
Bible Study
To enhance our cultivation & letting go, we’ll be using The Five Practices of Fruitful Living to guide our time together. Each week, we’ll go deeper into character quality we want to cultivate from the Sunday sermon.
Participant books can be purchased from amazon.com or other outlets. If purchasing a book would be a hardship, please contact Pastor Rennie for assistance.

Daily Devotion
If you’ve ever played a sport, learned a new skill, or started a new job, you know that daily practice is what helps us grow and improve. To aid in that effort, we are providing you with a daily devotional guide to help you consider and implement the practices that will help you cultivate and let go throughout Lent and beyond.
The devotional booklet begins Wednesday Feb. 17th, Ash Wednesday and will carry you to Easter Sunday. Each week includes scripture, poetry & prayer, and an invitation to respond to the prompting of the Holy Spirit by coloring a calendar and journaling about what it is that you need to cultivate and let go.

Additional Activities
Meditation, Prayer, & Art
You are invited to come to our campus on
Tues. & Wed. from 11am - 1pm or 6 pm - 8 pm, starting Tues. Mar. 2nd.
While here, you’ll have the option of spending time in the sanctuary for prayer and meditation, walking a labyrinth in our Fellowship Hall, or helping to paint banners for our Easter celebration.
Explore Your Creativity
To help us release the things we need to let go and nurture what we want to cultivate, we will be making origami. These origami will hold our intentions and desires and create both art and a release for us in worship and beyond.
Download and follow the instructions here to participate.
Don’t forget to bring your “letting go” origami to the 1:30 pm communion service on our campus each Sunday.
