For Adults:

  • Young Adults – Fellowship Hall — We are a group of young adults (College-age – 35ish) seeking to grow in our faith journey together. We aren’t afraid to ask questions, engage in deep conversation, and embrace people of different opinions. Our focus is to create a community where young adults feel a sense of community and belonging while moving deeper in their relationship with God. Contact Info: Pastor Jeff McCumber (jeff@millsriverumc.org)
  • Bible Class – Fellowship Hall Classroom, older adults (meets at 9:45 a.m.)— This is a class with an open discussion concept. We use the International Bible Lesson Curriculum. Contact Info: Will McClung (674-6636, willmcclung42@gmail.com) and Linda Westmoreland (777-8765, mumsey1214@gmail.com)
  • Friendship Class – Osborne Room in Christian Education building, older adults — We use the Adult Bible Studies literature. Contact Info: Leonard Poteet (685-8421)
  • Koinonia – Upstairs in Christian Ed building, all adults welcome — We are a welcoming, fun, group of folks of all ages who study different books of the Bible together. Come join us! Contact Info: Eric Rathburn (230-2106, ericrathburn717@gmail.com)
  • CrossRoads – Upstairs in Christian Ed building, all adults welcome — Our class is a “forum for discussion” on Christian living topics, book studies, and Bible study. Curriculum includes book and DVD platforms, typically introducing faith-based concepts of bible study, spiritual formation, and other theological questions that allow for exploring doubts, sharing personal theologies & faith based traditions. We share leadership and facilitating duties with willing class members. We also make time for social activities outside of the Sunday morning class time. We are an honest and open group, sharing the wealth of our combined experiences to make our faith journey just a little easier. Come as you are! We hope to help each other grow – making a positive impact for our families, our church and our broader community. We welcome visitors and love to see new faces.
